The Astric Dry-Bed bedwetting alarm consists of a small, well-designed and sensitive control unit and a light and comfortable detector pad, which is placed over the mattress.

When your child wets the bed and the first drops of wee touch the pad, the alarm will sound.

After being woken up over several nights, your child will either wake up before they do a wee or will learn to sleep through the night without wetting the bed.

This bedwetting alarm features:

  • Reverse of pad has grained effect plastic which prevents pad from slipping

The pad should be placed under a draw sheet or towel and can be easily cleaned with soap and water.

Bed mat alarms are very sensitive and can require ongoing adjustments to the sheet that is placed on top of the mat if the temperature and humidity change. Sweaty skin can trigger the alarm.

The use of synthetic fabrics can create static electricity and may cause the alarm to sound when dry. We recommend that natural fibres such as cotton should be used for all bedding.

The alarm box requires 2 AAA batteries which come included.

The Astric bed pad sensor is guaranteed for 3 months. Replacement pads are available to buy in our shop.

Getting sensitivity right is hard

Mat is too sensitive with just a sheet on top had produces false alarms. Suggestion is to put a towel on top, but the issue is then the alarm doesn't go off mid-wee but more after the accident has happened. Doesn't seem to be having an effect as is on improving/reducing number of night time accidents but we're persisting.

Thankyou for your feedback please try putting the mat in a pillowcase with the sheet over the top.

Very good, easy to get set up and start using. Within 10 days we started to notice a reduction in bed wetting. The only thing that has worked for us.

Mat alarm

I got the dry mat alarm for my daughter who is a very deep sleeper, the alarm works well , within 2 weeks she was no longer bed wetting and is waking up during the night to go to the toilet on her own . I recommend the mat

Sensitive and Discreet

We purchased the mat after trying lots of other methods with our 5 year old who had been through the enuresis clinic due to wetting and then had been dry at night but after a period of illness and some very deep sleeps suddenly was wet again and this did not stop despite following the advice of the enuresis team. We got the alarm and went cold turkey with no pull-ups and followed some American advice of diaper the bed not the child. Two nights of alarms, the first night she was soaked, the second she stopped mid flow and went to the toilet she hasn’t been wet since.

It is super easy to use, no attachments to underwear which I knew our daughter wouldn’t tolerate (sensory child). Very happy. Wish we had purchased sooner.

Excellent device to help my daughter with night time control of her bladder. Just a shame it's quite stiff for her to lay on but doesn't appear to affect her sleep.
